Rosa SanMarchi is a Chicago based actor and audiobook narrator. She has had the honor of performing at various Chicago theaters, including the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre. Her training at the School at Steppenwolf and collaborations with some of Chicago’s finest actors and teachers have enriched her craft, allowing her to bring a unique depth and authenticity to her performances.

Rosa’s love of storytelling blossomed in her childhood. She fondly recalls summer days spent listening to "The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking" on cassette tape and staying up late devouring "The Sweet Valley High" books. These early experiences ignited a lifelong passion for empowering narratives. But Rosa’s greatest inspiration comes from the real-life role of nurturing her young daughter. This journey has profoundly shaped her understanding of empathy, strength, and resilience. She is committed to bringing strong female characters and the resilience of the human spirit to life in every story she narrates. Rosa is passionate about lending her voice to tales that thrill, empower, and inspire.

When she is not acting or storytelling, Rosa is advocating for reproductive justice, creating a life with less plastic, baking a delicious dessert, or enjoying bike rides with her family.
